Endurance Journey & Happy Holidays

CoBizians,

2020 was the equivalent of an intense coach, trainer, or teacher who pushed all of us to our limits and then happily demanded, ‘one more set’ with no end in sight for 2021. Thank goodness 2021 is coming to an end; however, 2022 will likely be equally demanding, but at least we have evidence from these past two years that we can endure and must endure. In many ways, we honor the opportunity of life and the people we love who are no longer with us by enduring.

In the spirit of enduring, my team and I just wanted to say Thank You to each one of you who patronized CoBiz via membership, day passes, meeting room reservations, event rentals, production reservations, donations, referrals, tours, feedback, collaborations, reviews, and attendance at various in-person or virtual events. Despite the uncertain times we faced, you endured with us. These times stretched us all on a professional, personal, and spiritual level; thus, requiring each one of us to be flexible, patient, understanding, accommodating, and adaptable. We are grateful to our members, guests, Board, partners, and volunteers who exhibited grace toward us as a company because we too were figuring things out.

With that said, as someone who was literally on the ground at CoBiz every working day, my team and I witnessed many beautiful things come to life via CoBiz during this year despite the hurdles — new businesses created, podcasts released, workforce opportunities secured, new anchor members, unexpected use of the space, growth in membership, new programs launched with great partners from near and far, amazing talent at our Open Talent Nights, soulful events from Toy and Turkey Drives to Holidays with Dad, beautiful cultural celebrations, diverse-led Sci-Fy web series filmed at CoBiz, and much more. Everything did not go as planned but my team and I endured, pivoted, made a way. We are humbled to be a part of your Endurance Journey which is why I personally thank each one of you who contributed to CoBiz representing what is possible at a time when things sometimes seem hopeless.

As we close and prepare for 2022, we look forward to your continued support and ultimately desire to keep delivering great value to you. Happy Holidays to you, your loved ones, and please do not forget to love on those who matter the most to you! Let’s Rest, then Let’s Build.
